e-mail full mail box?

Last night I received 20 e-mails on my outlook express
that letters was send back becouse my mail box is full. I
never had that before. I have only couple of mails
stored in my inbox. usually I receive lots of mail and
they all get trough. I delete them after reading but even
if I don't never had this "mail box full" massage before.
It readed like this: >Your mailbox is over the high
watermarks clean your mailbox.<
I think something got wrong in my outlook express because
the mail box is not full. What do you think?

I think the message may be referring to your ISP server mailbox. Are you
deleting the emails from your ISP server when downloading to your computer?
Your ISP has probably set a limit on storage capacity on their server.
 
Do you use Hotmail or one of the other free email services? If so the mail box is the one on their server. Connect using the website rather then Outlook Exp and see if the mail box is full. These services only allow so mch storage and then they start refusing mail. Outlook Exp is only a mail client, it goes and gets the mail but may be leaving copies on the servers of your provider.
 
I have adelphia cable and I use Outlook Express to open
my mail. I think is automaticely deleting the files on
Adelphia after I download them.

I check my mail on the Adelphia and found this:

I only had 1 account and 1 mail. All the mails are coming
to my outlook express when I open it and I have 361 in-
box message total is 29.9 MB and 68 sent message total of
523 MB
Deleted folder is empty.
I don't understand I use to keep much more in box
message.
In the adelphia site it does not show how many message I
have had over the 2-3 years. It seems everyting empty
accept that one mail.
In the mean time I used the restore and take back my XP 4
days. Now it seems to be working okay. I don't know what
was the problem.
