E-mail from Microsoft?

I received the following E-mail. Can anyone tell me if it
is save to use the "fix" they suggest? Is it really from
Microsoft???

Let me expand on that a little. Microsoft does not e-mail fixes, either
instructions or files or updates.

Microsoft does attempt to get the word out and may send an informational
email, but that will instructions you to go to their web site for further
instructions or downloads.

.I got that too just lst nite as of aug 29th my isp

virus scanner came on and relined warning it was a new
worm never seen before w32.gind or glind and had @mm with
microsoft download link to it dum me clicked on it anyway
got too curious. it directed me to the microsoft homepage
but it looked funny like a still picture. if i would of
downloaded this i would be attacked. no hoax my isp i
called them they went through this email with me the
address that was on this was so long so werid with mixed
letters and numbers. the isp took it to thier security
supervisior and im waitin for them to give me more details
probally i wont hear about it all this stuff snice worm
blaster been hush hush microsoft does not send download
patchs in emails if this said " microsoft" then had
security patch beside it dont open it ty connie
