E-MAIL ATTACHMENTS TOO BIG? OUTLOOK 2003

I searched this forum and found various references but no solution.

When attachments exceed approx 5mB they either do not send or send
multiple copies.

I checked with my ISP - their max attachment size is 100mB.

This applies to both my profiles - one is a POP account the other
Exchange.

Are there any settings inside Outlook to help?

There are solutions in this and the m.p.outlook.general newsgroups.

The three main contributors to this are 1) scanning outgoing mail with an
antivirus or antispam scanner, 2) a server timeout value set too low, and 3)
a send/receive interval set too low. Disable mail scanning, find the server
timeout on the Advanced tab of your account properties pages, and the
send/receive interval on the Send/Receive Groups dialogue box.
