How can I e-mail an attachment from access with out
opening outlook, just the command botton.
SendObject doesn't give me the option to add an
attachment.

Thank you in advance

I do this for some people.

Create a apend query. this adds the data I want to a temp
table.

Then i create a delete query that will clear the temp
table.

I then creat a macro:

SetWarnings OFF

OpenQuery - this is the apend to table query

Send Object - Object Type: Table / Object Name:
temptable / Output Format: Microsoft Excel / fill in the
rest with what you want and if you leave Edit Message set
to No.. you will not see Outlook but I belive it will sit
in your outbox until you hit send.

OpenQuery - this is the clear table query

SetWarnings ON

Hope that helps you out some.

I have seen quite a bit of code for sending email with or
without one or more attachments. I have tried many of
them. If you are just sending an Access report you can use
the SendObject command. If attachments are files of any
type try the code below. The one below( I have it stored
as a function in a new module) has been the most reliable
for me with MS Outlook and Access 2000. Also I am able to
pull from an open form email address of the recipient, CC,
BCC, and the subject and text and file name of the
attachment(s). Good Luck

Jim
