I upgraded outlook 2000 to outlook 2002 running on XP Home. At work, I send and receive mail from several different accounts. We use a cable modem from a totally different mail server than what I'm trying to send and receive on. Unless my smtp server is set to the mail server of the cable modem, I can't send mail. Isn't there a way for the outgoing mail to log on to the smtp server and then send the mail?

Use your ISP's mail servers and authenticate to the outbound server. It's
on the "Server" or "Outgoing Server" tab of the account's Properties page.
