Hi,

How can I stop XP from creating silly folders I don't use. Also how do I
stop it from creating
"files_of_folder," sub files?

Thank you, User

E-books can be removed. It's not a shell folder, but a folder created by
Adobe Acrobat Reader. Try this tip from Wesley Vogel.

Open the following folder:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat x.0\Reader\plug_ins

Move the file ebook.api to the following folder:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat x.0\Reader\optional
Delete the My eBooks folder now.

In

Ramesh has told you how to delete E-Books.

In addition, using TweakUI (or manually), you can designate any folder as the My Pictures folder.
It doesn't have to be named "My Pictures". If you've opened it previously as a document folder, it
won't take on the pictures template. So point it to an out-of-the-way folder you don't need or
point it to a folder you use frequently and enjoy the convenience of having it in your start menu.

Then about the only time you'll be aware of it is when you browse for a desktop picture or do a
File -> Open in Paint.
