Hi All,

When we are still in Windows 2000 domain, the client can grab teh DNS
settings dynamically. However, after moving to Windows 2003, I have to
manually setup the DNS IP.

In the DHCP settings, I have set the option "Enable DNS dynamic update
according to the settings below" and "Dynamically update DNS A and PTR
records only if requested by the DHCP clients". I have also selected
"Discard A and PTR records when lease is deleted." Well, it is Windows 2003
select the items automically.

Have I missed out anything?

Thanks...............

In DHCP Options (Server or Scope Options), rt-click, select Configure
Options, scroll down to Option 006. That is where you would state the DNS IP
addresses. I assume you already selected Option 003 which is the router
(gateway)? It;s in the same section.
