Hi All.

Currently, when my users logon to my 2000 TS boxes, they
are assigned a dynamic session number on the server. Is
there anyway to force static session numbers..or have the
session identified by username instead of the session
number?

Thanks,

Sorry, but the session numbers are all based on who is
logged into the server at the time the person connects.
What are you trying to do with this information...maybe
there is a workaround.

Well...as so many with a TS environment, I am trying to
get a printer problem resolved. I am using a product
called Netilla, which allows users to access a web page
using their AD accounts and get access to a terminal
server desktop. The Netilla applicance creates the RDP
session and passes the credentials, but encapsulates the
RDP stream using Java back to the client.

Slick technology based on the old Tarantella stuff.

Anyway, their local printers are enumerated and made
available to them, but they are all seen as
printer\session#. I have an app that you have to set the
printer manually for. So the next time they log in, of
course, they get a different session number associated
with that session...and the corresponding default printer
is now "different"...so the app can't print.

An easy fix would be to have the session display their
user name instead of a number. That way the printer
session would always be the same.

Thx.

John
