Dynamic DNS

Here is my enviroment, I have "anything.com" as the root
domain. Anything.com has just a single server that
everything runing on it that a domain requires. Then I
have a child domain called "any" so for my computer
proper unc path it should be computername.any.anything.com
The problem I am having is that no desktop or server will
dynamically appear in DNS. Desktops get an error about no
DNS server being found, servers get an error about no
authorative server found.

Any help would be appreciated

Are you using the local AD DNS server only in TCP/IP properties on all
machines? (No ISP's DNS)
If you are then I will need to see these:
ipconfig /all (unedited)
AD Domain name from AD Users & Computers
List of zones in the local DNS Forward Lookup Zones
 
No we do not use ISP DNS, Yes, we only use AD DNS
Servers. Here is a copy of my ipconfig

diamondengine
diamondengine.com
medart
medartinc.com

Basically the domain is set up with a forest called
medartinc.com this has one server that is the schema
master and is the authorative DNS server for both
medartinc.com and the child domain medart.

If ADUC shows the domain as "Medart" then it is not the child domain of
"medartinc.com" If it were it would be "medart.medartinc.com" in ADUC. IF it
is "medart" then it is a single label domain name and registration won't
happen by default in a single label domain name without making registry
entries.
