Can anyone tell me what this means and why I'm getting it every 2 hours
in my event log?

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: NETLOGON
Event Category: None
Event ID: 5782
Date: 1/22/2004
Time: 4:05:35 AM
User: N/A
Computer: ZEUS
Description:
Dynamic registration or deregistration of one or more DNS records failed
with the following error:
No DNS servers configured for local system.
Data:
0000: 7c 26 00 00 |&..

Check to be sure that the zone is set to allow for dynamic updates (probably
not it but be sure), but more likely, check the setting in ip properties for
"register this connection is dns".

This is controlled by the dhcp client service and reg key;
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters:
DisableDynamicUpdate

Check that the server is configured to use an internal DNS server and that
those servers are reachable and operational.

Also make sure the DHCP Client and Netlogon services are running.

It means tha you are not pointing to a DNS server or the one you are
pointing to does not accept dynamic updates.
