Dynamic Column headings in crosstab

Hello,

I'm having an issue with a report that has an underlying
crosstab query as its source. The query pulls up different
column headings depending on parameters set within the
database. An error message saying "The Microsoft Jet
database doesnt recognize 'xxxxx' as a valid field name or
expression". This message is understandable because the
colunm headings are hard coded within the report. I've
tried to manually rename the column headings in the query
properties to something that represents the colunm values
but can stay fixed (such as numbers 1,2,3,4...) but then
the query doesn't pull up any values for the columns.

Is there any way that I can dynamically set the column
values within the report?

You can create "known" columns using the method in a sample at
