Dx9b install locked, reboot, and now system won't boot

I was installing Homeworld 2, and got to the DX9b setup,
which I launched. The install hung at some point (I let
it go for like 10 minutes, and this is a dual-Xeon
system), and I did a hard re-boot. Now, the system
doesn't even get to the initial post screens, let alone
POST. Nothing shows up on the monitor. All I get are 3
beeps, a pause, and it repeats. The system is an IBM
Intellistaion Z Pro, dual Xeon, 1 gig RAM, Nvidia
Quadro. Any help would be much appreciated.

You definitely have a hardware problem that needs to be addressed. The 3
beeps are a clue to the problem. Perhaps your motherboard manual may have a
list of beep codes to help you out. Could be a loose connection of your
video card too, as they are notorious for working loose at times, where you
can't see it but you might need to remove it and replace it firmly in it's
slot. Check for loose memory modules also, or even power supply cabling.

Yeah, I definately do have a problem :) The manual
didn't give any clue as to the beeps, other than a
mention of a "continuous beep" indicating that the
startup CPU has failed, or the m/b or speaker subsystem
might have a problem. Gee, lots of help that was ;)
I've re-seated everything else (vid, RAM, n/w, cables,
even the CPU's). The only thing I haven't tried is
swapping the secondary cpu for the primary, which I'm
about to try :(

All I did was to try and install DX9. Sheesh...
