DWT not updating all pages

I have created a site that uses DWT's. I need to update
all the pages attached to the DWT, but the "Update all
pages" menu option is always greyed out.

Microsoft has an article that references that command but
makes no mention of why it might be greyed out.

Any ideas?

The FP2003 DWT "Update All Pages" function works against disk-based sites,
and sites on servers running SharePoint Team Services or Windows SharePoint
Services. It does not work on sites running the FP 2002 server extensions.

Thanks for the information.

That's pretty short-sighted on Microsoft's part. Who
would include a great feature like that and not have it
work in FPSE.

Microsoft is pretty miopic if they think everyone is
going to go to SharePoint.

I just read this... It seems, reading your words, that MS wanted this and
that it's
not a bug.

I tested WSS 2.0 and they place web pages into SQL Server.
WSS 2.0 works in a way that is, not only totally different, but
even using too much resources.

I hope MS will change opinion and publish soon FPSE2003

Thanks
Gio

The problem is the FP SE predate FP2003 and the DWT update requires unique new dlls available only available under WSS (and to the
FP client thru Disc Based Webs)

Hopefully
- perhaps someday the FP SE may be updated to recognize the new .dlls
