DVDRW Toshiba and recording time

Hi !

I've got Toshiba SDR-5002 and my recording time is 61 minutes ( x2
speed ) on Dysan DVD-R media
mostly but generally on any brand of media ( TDK, Verbatim ).

Is that right ? CD recording time is quite right x16 around 5-6 minutes.
My friend records on his Liteon x8 with x2 speed 29 minutes.
What is wrong ?

I've got patched firmware 1033. Could be that a problem ?

Your Tosh is writing in single speed mode. Check the burning software's
settings and also check the hard drive's performance, your burning software
should have that option.
