Make sure that your DVD-ROM Drive is set to use the system DMA (Direct
Memory Access).
The DMA setting will maximize the playback performances. To enable DMA,
please follow the steps below:
1. Right click on "My Computer" on your desktop and select "Properties"
2. Select Device Manager tab and look for the DVD-ROM Drive. (In Windows
2000 and Windows XP, please look for Secondary IDE)
3. Right click on DVD-ROM drive and select "Properties"
4. Select the settings tab and check the DMA option to enable DMA.
Note: If you are using mainboards with Super 7 type (AMD CPU) or the K7
(Athlon) CPU, please update the IDE and AGP drivers from the mainboard
supplier (may be available on their websites). Install the IDE and AGP
update files before enabling DMA.
If you can not find the DMA setting checkbox, it could be that your
mainboard does not support DMA. Please contact the mainboard supplier or
visit their website to assist you to enable DMA settings.
Some applications hide the DMA option in your operating system. For example,
if you install Intel Applicatin Accelerator, the DMA option is hidden (even
though DMA is switched on).
Playback performances also relies on the speed and overhead of the PC.
Please try the following:
1. Please update your VGA and sound card driver.
2. Please Close other application program while palyaback.
3. Please reduce screen resolution, color depth and refresh rate.
