I'm not able to delete certain avi's/video audio files.
This site says remove this reg key...

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREClassesCLSID{87D62D94-71B3-4b9a-
9489-5FE6850DC73E}InProcServer32

Does this fix the problem and has anyone done this??

Thanks!

Kelly... I ran your tweak, and still can't delete the
file. Would Process Explorer possibly fix this?

Thanks as always for your expertise!

Most welcome and thanks for the kind words.

But hmm, it shouldn't really be that difficult. The edit has worked for so
many. That said, sure give it a shot, good luck and keep me posted!

<LOL> Just saw your BTW. Thank you!)

Try going into an ftp program and deleting from there. Not sure if it will
work on XP but I had that problem with Win98 (unable to delete some avi's)
and various ftp programs would let me delete the avis when 98 wouldnt.

What errors are you getting? I have in the past been unable to delete some
files and thought it was the system at error but it turns out that something
like overnet or kazaa is running minimised and sharing them.

BTW, dvdrhelp is an excellent site.

Please reply in the original thread.

My only guess would be if you are having trouble getting to dvdrhelp.com and
you need to do so.. Adding it to the trusted sites list may help you.
