I think you are missing some too.
You want omething that burns DVD +/- R/RW, perhaps even DualLayer. That way
you have one drive that does all the formats you will likely need.
DVD+R, DVD-R. DVD+RW, DVD-RW, DL DVD, CD-R, CD-RW
Because of the availability and price of blank media (and the fact that it's
still fast) - I would go with one that burns DVD+/-R's at 8X. The other
speeds will pretty much depend on that one, for the most part - and whatever
they are, will likely be fast enough.
For a name brand (like Sony) burner that meets most of those specs from a
reliable online source (like NewEgg.com) you can expect to pay $72 to $135 +
shipping.
