dvd writer problem

hello!

i have a problem and maybe someone will help me.i have a new asus dvd
writer 1608p and i use nero burning rom as software, currently
6.6.0.12.
i try to burn some dvd's but i allways encounter the same problem:
invalid block adress and the burning is failed just from the
lead-in.what can i do? i have downloaded and updated the firmware for
may drive,but the error is the same.
should i change the software?

can anyone pls help me?!
