DVD writer not working

Hi ya,
I hope you can help. I can no longer burn DVD's! I have tried to burn some
photo's onto a DVD and I am being told that I can not use this type of
storage. I have also tried burning other things onto DVD and am getting the
same reply. It is as if the computer does not realize that it can do this
anymore. I can however still burn CD-roms. Before you ask, I do (or did have
a DVD writer). Burning DVD's is not something I do very often, so I don't
know for sure how long I have had this problem.
If anybody can give me some advice on what I need to do to repair this
problem I would be most grateful. I am not very clued up with IT, so if you
could make your explanations as easy to follow as possible I would be very
grateful.

I have used the DVD Slideshow Builder for a long time which is easy to
create a customized DVD slide show with photos and videos, and you
can add music, transitions, motion effects and make beautiful DVD
menus. i like it very much due to its high performance.
