My e Machine came preloaded with Windows XP Home Edition. Around the time
I upgraded from WMP ver.8 to ver.9 that I noticed that any CD's that any
burned CD's aren't recognized by my DVD ROM, but it sees all factory CD's
and DVD just fine. My CD burner sees the burned ones just fine, as do other
peoples computers CD ROM's. Someone told me that when I upgraded to WMP
ver.9, that it added some type of codec anti-piracy feature that is causing
the problem. Since WMP ver.9 is uninstallable, am I screwed? Anyone out
there have an answer to this problem, short of doing a format and recover?
Please send any answers to my e mail address below.
Thank you,
Al Simon
