DVD wont play movie

All that shows on TV screen is menu page and movie wont play.
Have had results using Intervideo but audio was shocking.

Movie Maker does not create DVDs - so if you need help, maybe you could tell
us what you did use to make your DVD...

I have the same problem and Movie Maker 2.1 does give the option of buring
movie to DVD... when I do this it goes into endless 90-99% CPU utilization
(over 1 hour without any progress on the completion bar).

I also tried to save the movie to disk, which of course plays on the
computer as a .wmv file but does not play on my DVD player (which generally
reads everything). Any idea what I need to do?

Gosh, making home videos is a lot less user-friendly as advertised.

Have new PC with XP that came with WINDVD,Sonic and of course Movie
Maker.Does this help?

The MCE2005 burn to DVD option seems to do this a lot from what I have read
in here.
Try saving the movie to your hard drive and then importing it into your DVD
authoring software.

"generally reads everything" that's a gross overstatement since there still
aren't any DVD players out there to my knowledge that will play WMV files.
