I don't understand why the Windows Media Player won't open / play a
DVD I mastered using Sony DVD Architect Studio 4.0. This is a
fairly ubiquitous product and I'm stumped.
Any suggestions ( besides buy a Mac)?

Sometimes...homemade DVDs just don't work.
Does your system normally play retail DVDs?
Does this DVD play in the DVD Player connected
to your TV?
What happens if you insert the DVD in your DVD
Drive and go to...My Computer...then right click the
icon for that drive and choose...Play?
Maybe you need a DVD Decoder?

Maybe the free VLC Media Player would be worth a try:

Might be worth a try to download and install the
following codec pack:

(FWIW...it's always best if you create a System Restore
point before installing any software or updates)
