DVD+RW Not Seen

My notebook,Compac 700,does not see the format of a DVD+RW. The disk works
fine in my desktop and DVD Player. Both computers are Windows XP and have
the same viewing software installed. Notebook plays regular DVD's fine.

I don't think the DVD in a Compaq M700 will read +rw only -rw, its only the
later drives that will
