DVD Rom problem

My DVD Rom drive can't read a blank DVD or CD. But it can't read non-empty
DVD or CD. After I format DVD, I can read it but not for CD. Does anyone
know the problem and how to fix it? Thanks.

It's LG and don't know the model number. Around 1 year old.

What burning app do you use..?
The Nero Infotool can help you id the optical drives..

Run the tool, save info to a txt file, cut & paste relevant device data to
your post..

Why are you putting a blank disc into a read only drive?
Are you sure is not a burner?
