DVD ROM DRIVE

I have a sony ddu220e drive and in my computer it only
recognizes it as a cd-rom drive and I can't even load a
dvd at all anymore because I installed win xp pro. I
think I need a driver, but im not sure. running out of
options.
 
Normally, most ATAPI/IDE CD/DVD-rom drive use the built-in Microsoft
drivers.
