Dvd rom drive problems

In the device manager I have a red X on my dvd rom drive
and it says it was disabled and cant be re enabled the
only thing I have as far as trouble codes is a code 22.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Try deleting the entry completely and reboot and let windows redetect
it.
