DVD Region Problem

I purchased some DVDs while in Europe and played them at
home in the US on my DELL with Windows Media Player. I
was asked by Windows if I wanted to change my DVD region,
which I did. Now the change has become permanent and I
can't play DVDs from the US, where I live.

Any way to change back?

But DVD's are dirt cheap these days (at least in the UK they are) so you
could always buy a 2nd one, put in in your PC, and alternate the 2 for the
different regions...

Here is what you do, i ran into this to. There is a
program called DVD Region-Free. I don't remember the web
address, but if you email me, I will see if I can get it
to you. This program turns off the Region settings
without messing with the firmware. They have a demo you
can download. It will allow you to use it for 30 days and
you can play a movie for 15 minutes in a sitting, not much
but that will be enough to know if it works for you. I
think it cost me $38.00 to buy the full version. It fixed
my DVD Region Lock problem.
