I am new to the forum. I have a Dell L800r desktop running Windows XP. I
have a Micro Advantage DVD/CD burner installed running Nero 6 and PowerDVD 5.
In the properties section for the DVD/CD burner, there is the region code
tab. The window for the tab indicates there is no selection for the Region
which I am in Region 1. I select Region 1 and then click ok to get a window
with the header, "DVD Region Change Error." Inside that window, it has
something about being the administrator, which I am, and the player having
Region 1. All the hardware drivers look good. I have checked the APTI or
ASPI drivers and they are good. There is no hardware conflicts. I have
even upgraded the firmware for the DVD player. There are presently 5 changes
for the regions in the window. I have not changed the region selection at
all so I cannot see why I would have no changes left. I am the administrator
and I still cannot change the window. Is there some problem in the registry
or something like a DDL file missing causing this error window to come up. I
have search all over the net trying to see if there are any solutions for
this problem. Any help would be appreciated.
