Please help because I really need it! I have taken footage from a video
camera and transfered it to the computer through Windows Movie Maker. I have
now finished editing and have tried recording onto a DVD. When I have tried
to replay through my DVD player it does not read however if I put the DVD
into my computer it plays perfectly. Can someone tell me what I have done
wrong or need to do to fix this problem. Any assistance would be
appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I wish I knew the anewer to this also

I used to be able to play DVDs on both PC and DVD player, but now it no longer works and I use the same software (Ulead DVD Movie
Factory)

I have had some advice here including various other software to try. I have read that DVD Shrink will write the files from PC toDVD
in a format playable on a DVD player, but Ulead won't write to the PC anyway, only to a DVD and when I try this it fails

I will be watching with interest.

Hi Norma
It sounds like you created a "data" disc which simply contains the video
file (either WMV or AVI) you created with Movie Maker.
To create a "proper" DVD that plays in your home DVD Player you need a DVD
Authoring program (such as Ulead Movie Factory)
to create the DVD. The program will import your WMV or AVI file and you can
add menus, chapter points, etc... if you want then
Movie Factory (or whatever program you choose) will convert and burn your
DVD for you.
There is a list of some of the popular authoring programs on my website
along with download links and tutorials for some of them.
Most offer free trial downloads so you can try them before you buy them.
