PC reboots when I try to read or write dvd's.
CD's work ok. It does not give any error
msg's as to what happened.
Any help would be welcome.
Power supply issue ? CPU overheating ?
You can test with CPU loading, by using Prime95.
This tests the CPU and memory, using a math calculation.
If your computer is healthy, there should be no errors reported,
even if you let the program run for a few hours.
When it asks "Join GIMPs", say no and do the Torture Test.
The default settings should be good enough.

A second program you can try, is a 3D benchmark. That
will also stress the computer and drive up the power consumption.
I picked this one, because it is only a 40MB download. Later
versions are much larger and take longer to download.

If the computer doesn't shut down, when those programs are
running, then the problem could be related to a driver
used for the optical drive. Or some of the software used
to run that particular burner. That will be harder to
diagnose.
There are free burner programs you can try, purely in the
interest of seeing whether other software would work. See
the Freeware section here.
