DVD RAM

Hi

Can anybody tell me if a PC DVD-ROM drive will read DVD-RAM discs?

Im pretty sure it wont but a site does say unless your DVD ROM
explicitly lists DVD RAM assume it wont be compatible. Im not aware of
any readers that can read them but maybe there are a few. Do a search
on Google and see if you can find any. If its that rare than it might
be cheaper to buy a burner with DVD ram capabilty - obviously that
will be able to read them and they have been comingway down in price -
the LG and theres also a Panasonic etc though I think they were $100+.
 
I thought that was the case. I think I'll probably go for the firewire LG
Supermulti drive.
