one question

why did u get such a poor dvd player?

dvd r+ are always posing a problem for everyone
i would suggest looking for different device drivers,

try to do a google search for the problem

I have been usiong DVD+r discs since i purchased my burner. Using DVD-shrink and Nero. Not once have i had any difficulties playing these discs in my ps2, standalone dvd player or PC.

Perhaps you should question your burning software.

Hi,
I have a philips DVD/RW. When I first tried to use it using Nero 6 I tried to use BulkPac DVD/r disks nad the DVD would not recognise there was a disk inserted. It kept prompting me to insert an empty disk. I then tried maxell disk and everything worked fine.
The moral of this story is that it might pay to try some different brands and see if you can find one that is compatable.

Great advice,
cheap discs can be the culprits of many problems including write errors after they're recognized.

its for this reason that i have never purchased a dvdr+
i have heard so many bad things

probably burnt around 100 dvdr-'s

never touched a +!

i buy them in bulk from cd-rmedia.co.uk
always been impressed!

DVD+R is superior to DVD-R, cheap burners, cheap media and above all improperly installed burning software are the culprits. If you do a search on PC Review itself you will find many helpful threads which will give you enough information that you will probably not need to ask any questions. Some keywords I suggest as follows:

DVD+R
DVD-R
Plextor
NEC

You can even do a search using above keywords for threads authored by me. Flops, Mucks and Ian have all contributed in those threads with very useful info.

It depends how much time you wish to spend finding a solution to many a problems associated with burning.

Good Luck!

This dvd player is not bad for the price. It can play most format. Even america disc with the hack.

So i would;'nt say it ';s poor. This player got a good review in a computer mag.

I even try dvd-r and they did';nt work.

I used DVD Shrink to copy the dvd disc then neo -re loaded dvd video.

found a site what does say it can play dvd-r
