HELLO EVERYONE!!! I'M NOT SO GOOD WITH COMPUTER, AND I NEED SOME HELP.
I'M TRYING TO MAKE A COPY OF MY DOCUMENTS TO A DVD-R. I'D USED THE RECORD
NOW, AND AFTER BURNING THE DVD, EVERYTHING LOOKS FINE. BUT IF I TRY TO SEE
THE FOLDERS AND FILES, NOTHING HAPPENS... HOW CAN I FIX THIS PROBLEM???
THANKS

Please turn OFF your Caps Lock key. It's considered shouting and we can all
hear just fine, thank you.

You need to use Third Party burning software to create a data DVD, XP has no
built in recording ability with DVDs.

Sorry, and Thank you! I'm using a Third Party software. I'm using sonic
recordnow. My problem is that my DVD R/RW cannot recognize DVDs. I can play
movies, and open any software on any previous DVD that I'd burned. I'm trying
to burn a new one with the Sonic software and looks normal. Also I'd tried to
open the same DVD burned, and there is not information. It's Blank. Free
space 0. Usage space 0

Cari, I am also in need of help please! I am trying to burn copies of my
dvds' using Nero but I can not seem to figure out what i am doing wrong. Any
help?...I am confused when it asks for the paths and am not sure where to
burn the disk in order to be able to copy it on a new one.

Check what your optical drive supports... -R and/or +R... and make sure
you're using the correct disks. If you've gone for the cheap option, try a
different brand.

While you're checking, double click on My Computer. Right click on the
optical drive that you use for burning and select Properties. In the
Recording tab, is the Recoding option checked?

OK.... are you trying to duplicate a DVD? If so, is it a data DVD or a
video DVD?

video i believe....also this is gonna sound real stupid...i figured out i do
not have capablity to burn a dvd only play one but some how i copied the
movie to my desk top....have no idea how i did that either...lol..anyway i
will now have to go back to the store i bought the laptop from becuse they
assured me i had the capability if burning dvds and i do not..so once this is
done i will post again and maybe you can help me ...thanks so much!

My hardware is a Pioneer DVD -R/RW.
This is the especification of my laptop: Equium A60-692 P4 518/ XP HE/ 256MB/
40GB/ 15TFT/ DVD-R/ RW.
I'm using Phillips - R. 4.7Gb
I got some DVDs (TDK DVD-R) that I'd burned on the past with the same
hardware. I can
open them without any problem. But I'm trying to burn newones now and it's
not working.
And the Recoding option it's not checked.
