My DVD player is acting strange lately. It does not play video content. It
loads programs, plays both CD and DVD audio but not video. I get an error
message that the computer is low on memory and I should close other programs,
while nothing else is running parallel or in the background. I have both Vita
32 and 64 on my computer. I get the same message under both operating
systems. It worked fine before and I did not change anything on my computer
(Dell XPS 700). Any suggestions?

I too had the same issue. The DVD decoder loaded with the Vista trials
expired on 11/13. I installed my Nvidia Pure DVD deocder and set the date on
my Vista clock back to about Septemeber 1st and the decoder ran correctly.
Try that.

I've not had this problem at all. DVDs are playing fine in Media Player and
Media Center.

Thank you for the tip y2j420. Actually, all I had to do is to reset the
calendar to 9/01/06 and worked like as it supposed to.

I set the calendar back 1 month and that fixed it. I use Winodws Decoder
Checkup utility. When the decoder expired, then there was no set preferred
decoder green check mark. The green check mark indicating a set preferred
decoder was listed again after I just changed the date. The filename is
nvviddec.ax and the path is C:/Program Files/NVidia
Corporation/ForceWare/nStant Media/Codecs

filename is nvviddec.ax version 4020.196.0.0
