dvd problem

I am having a problem with my DVD player. Whenever I attempt to play a DVD
movie the picture is OK but the sound is not..it sounds like a garbled mess
and even the music is bad....some one told me that my DVD player needs to be
replaced....is there any other thing I can do before buying another DVD
drive?
 
try changing the sound properties in the DVD application
your using. The speakers you are using might not be
compatible with the settings you choosed. If that doesn't
help try updating the sound card driver.
