Made a movie and copied it onto DVD-RW. Unable to play
on the DVD which is connected to my TV. What am I doing
wrong? It does play on my computer. Thanks

You can't just copy a movie to a DVD-RW if you want it to play on a regular
DVD player. You need to use DVD Authoring & Burning software to burn the
DVD-RW.

And keep in mind that very few such programs are able to convert the WMV
format to the required MPEG-2 format. So you may need to save your movie in
DV-AVI format so you can import it into the DVD Authoring program.

Check out the DVD page at www.papajohn.org for more info.

if you produced it in high m.a.t., there is no dvd players
to my knowledge that will play this format. I tried also
and also contacted pansonic.

There are some Panasonic players that advertise HighMAT compatibility, but
what they don't advertise is that it is audio only. Panasonic had planned
on adding HighMAT video support, but then changed it's mind. Because it
advertises HighMAT capability and does not deliver, I will not buy a
Panasonic product. If they insist on deceptive advertising, they will not
earn my business.

I've seen some Panasonic DVD players with "HighMAT" logo, but if you look
closely, the words "audio" and "image" are undernath
it(http://panasonic.co.jp/pavc/global/highmat/image/p1_level2.gif).

Of interest to users of WMM2: there are no consumer available HighMAT
players which will playback the CDs created by WMM2, that requires "video"
under the HighMAT logo
(http://panasonic.co.jp/pavc/global/highmat/image/p1_level3.gif). (I say
"consumer available" because I'm speculating that such DVD players do exist
in a research/development lab somewhere :-) ).
