DVD Player

How do I get my dvd player to work,I can't even register it with ( ROXIO ),
or do I
have to, and if so can I register it with somebody else,or do I have to
register it with ROXIO. I bought a new DELL window XP,and I can't get my DVD
Player to work.
I wrote to dell.com and no support, can somebody give me some help.

Saying your DVD player won't work is
not enough info. What are you trying to
play on it? What happens when you try
to use it...do you receive errors? Does
the computer freeze?

Post all the details you can think of and
maybe someone can help you.

You don't say what is wrong with it except it doesn't work......

If it doesn't work then maybe it's faulty and needs replacing?

If it doesn't play dvds, then do you have any dvd playing software installed
on your pc? You need to to be able to watch dvds. Something like
windvd/powerdvd etc
