Rodo,
I don't know which version of Windows you're using (if you're using
Windows at all that is), so this may not apply but the other day I was
examining the executables in my Windows folder and discovered that
there was an included DVD player:

C:\WINDOWS\DVDPLAY.EXE

which for some reason they never provided a shortcut to. You might
want to look for that file. I've tried it and it works great. Very
stable- never locks up. However, it can only set a bookmark when you
shut it off and if you have it configured to do so.

Out of curiosity I did a DIR C:\WINDOWS\DVD* on my Win ME Dell 4100
and found that DVDPLAY.EXE here too. The bloody thing is only 15,120
bytes -- is it for real?

No DVD player here to try it, so I'll have to take your word for it
that it works. ;-) Mind you, adding /S to that DIR command reveals
another 47KB in three associated files in WINDOWS\HELP. Oh, there's
also a 57KB DVDRGN.EXE with that DVDPLAY.EXE which presumably ensures
we Aussies can't play stuff that you Yanks can. :)

Cheers, Phred.

Thats the DVD part of the windows media player.
