DVD playback problem

Hello again..
I am currently trying to get my MM2 movie onto a DVD. I am using Sonic's MyDVD for this process. When I went to go play the movie in my home DVD player, the audio comes through beautifully, but the video does not advance through the different slides - you just hear the music playing in the background. I am making this movie of jpegs and titles with .wav files for the music. The movie flashes to it's first title page, but nothing happens after that aside from the music playing in the background
I hope I described this clearly enough. Please help! I have a deadline. Many thanks in advance

I'm adding more info or thoughts to my previous question here

After doing some more research, should I be saving my movie as a DV-AVI file even if it is mostly made up of JPEG's, or is that best used for video files? And, if so, would that fix my previous problem when it comes to playback on my DVD

It almost seems like I have a writing speed problem when recording the DVD. Like I said before, the first title page slowly flashes on the screen and then freezes for about 4 minutes or so before the next title page slowly flashes on to the screen. But when the songs finish, the movie goes back to the "menu" page of the DVD - it doesn't continue slowly flashing all of my clips...
Again, I hope I make sense and a million thanks for any input

Kate,

The MyDVD process will be the same when it comes to making the MPEG2 files
and burning the disc regardless of whether you start with a DV-AVI file or a
WMV.... and the DV-AVI file would be higher quality.

Does the saved movie from MM2 play fine and you're losing it somewhere in
MyDVD or the burning? Does the preview in MyDVD play fine?

You said that the DVD doesn't play on your home DVD player.
Does it play on your PC okay? If so, then it's possible
that your home DVD player simply does not support the type
of DVD media you are using.

John...
Yes, the preview plays fine in MyDVD. I'm thinking it must be in the burning somewhere

Thanks

Kate

Kate,

I agree with you.... a good hard drive cleanup and defrag, and turning off
other things as it burns.

Have you successfully burned DVDs before and this is something new, or is it
your first ones?

John
This is my first time burning DVD's. I'm quite proficient when it comes to burning cd's, but this is all new to me. I'm thinking my next step will be calling the Sonic customer support line

Thanks

Hi there,

You will find under FAQ > Movie Maker > Computer > Speed on my website a
series of helpful hints on what to do when capturing or burning data...its
more important with DVD's because of the higher rate of data delivery.
