Using XP Home, Can I play a DVD on the TV and capture the movie to the PC
Hard drive?

DVD Copyright to Hard drive

Is it possible to copy a DVD that I purchased, that is playing in the PC DVD
player?
It needs to be copied / captured to something like Movie Maker so some of
the words can be edited out.

The DVD's are for my grand daughter's kindergarten class. There is one word
and also one photo that needs to be removed.

Copy directly to a program? Or copy first to the hard drive?

How is it possible?

Thanks from New Orleans

Hello, Not conversant with copyright law, but if you are planning on changing
the movie and using it in public (school) I think you may need legal
permission.
There are software programs that can copy the movie to your harddrive such
as "1clickDVDCopy", make changes using video program then burn to a DVD disc,
if it is not encrypted. Encryption places the movie in a different catagory.
Legal and illlegal use of decryption software. Your search engine can be of
use in this area.
Take Care.

What copyrighted movie, which contains words and photos not suitable for
kindergartners, are you trying to copy ??

Thanks for the help. Google found: IMPGenc DVD Author and it worked
perfect.
Where should I send the Cajun Gumbo?
