I hope I'm in the right NP or someone can point me to one.

Is there a device that will allow one to send a DVD signal from a PC to a TV
for viewing?
I am runnng Win7 x64 w/ Media Center and would like to show movies on my
TV.

It would depend upon the hardware.

A Win7 notebook or desktop that has HDMI interface may be able to display on a TV that has
an HDMI interface.

It is also possible that a TV may have a VGA interface and you may connect your PC to the
TV as a monitor.

However you don't provide the make and model of either so I can't be specific in my
answer.

I can give you my example.
I have a JVC TV that has a VGA interface. It only accepts 1024 x 768 @ 60Hz.

I have a Dell Latitude D620 notebook and a Dell Docking station. I connect a VGA cable
from the docking station to the TV and choose INPUT #3 on the TV. I can now view my
notebook on the TV directly or extend the screen to the TV (extending the screen to the TV
is my choice).

Hi David, I just got finished installing 2 cables from my wife's Win 7
laptop directly to the VGA interface on my LG HD TV. I purchased the cables
at Walmart online for about $24. Once connected hit `function F4' on the
laptop to adjust the screen resolution to match the TV, then `function F6'
to select the TV as the monitor for your movies. Here's the cable ordering
details:
1) Belkin Pro Series 15 foot VGA Monitor Signal replacement cable for
$14.88; 2) Cables unlimited 25 foot 3.5 mm male to male stereo cable for
$4.88. Came to $23.15 with S/H.

Good luck
