I have a laptop with a Matshita SR-8171-H DVD that used to
work perfectly with Windows 2000 SP1 and SP2.
When I updated to SP3 I started to get problems reading
CDRWs. Error message is "Invalid MS-DOS Function". I
expected to be resolved in SP4, but the problem is still
there.
I updated the BIOS to the latest level and the situation
is still the same. DVD Driver is Microsoft 14/12/99
5.0.2195.1. It shouldn't be a device problem because if I
uninstall SP4 or SP3 and go back to Windows 2000 SP2
level, everything goes back to work correctly.
Any idea of help ?
Thanks. Javier
