Chris

I have two DVD drives installed. They both work well if I
have a CD or DVD in the drive and I turn the system on.
However if I open the tray and change the CD or DVD disc
to a different one or even leave the same one in the drive
and close the drive's tray the drive can't read the disc.
It will give an error such as The drive is empty or the
disc is corrupt or contains invalid data.
What is wrong with my drives?

I have the same problem but not too bad like yours. It stills able to play discs and sometime it happens like yours. May be your DVD-ROM lens is dirty. Try CD Lens Cleaner or something like that or your drive is already phisically damaged (MAY BE???). Try to swap your Drive IDE cables and it's power cable. May be this can help!
