I have a rather run-of-the-mill SATA LG DVD burner (model GH22NS30) on my
Vista 64 system on a Asus P5K mobo. If I change the media (DVD or CD) in
the drive by pushing the eject button on the drive, Vista does not see that
the media has changed. Explorer either shows no media, or I am prompted to
erase the disc. If, however, I use the "Eject" menu option in the Explorer
context menu to open the drive, the new media shows in Explorer as
expected.
The same problem appeared with an older model DVD drive.
Is there a hidden setting buried somewhere in Vista or maybe the BIOS that
I am missing?
Thanks!
