DVD does not play

I used Roxio DigitalMedia Plus v7.2, Data, Data Disc, and created a
data disc of my DVD media.

When I tried to play it in the DVD player it did not work.
Any suggestions?
I'm guessing its the Roxio and I need other software? If so can you
guys recommend some FREE software to make this DVD?

You created a *Data* disk?
What you need is a Video DVD.
