DVD Device Manager Missing Advanced Tab

I am trying to reduce my sony DVD recorder speed due to quality issues. Sony
instructed me to click on Advanced tab in device manager and change settings.
For some reason, Advanced tab is missing. Any ideas? Tried Dell support
with no luck. Attempted fix from XP disc, but older version without sp2.

Opne "My Computer" icon

Right Click in DVD drive.

CLick on Properties

The look in 'Advanced' tabs.
 
Try this:
Open My Computer

Right click the DVD Recorder Drive and select Properties.

Select the Recording tab, toward the bottom is a drop down box for recording speed.

When using a third party program to burn you can adjust the burning speed within the program before
you do the writing operation.
