I want to make backups of DVDs that I own using DVD Decryptor. It rips a
bunch of VIDEO_TS files but no AUDIO_TS files. When burning a DVD in Nero,
it has a VIDEO_TS folder and a AUDIO_TS folder. I drag the VIDEO_TS files
into that folder, but what into the AUDIO_TS folder? Thanks.

I don't know what that folder is used for but it's always left empty, I
think it's for compatibility with home DVD players. Once you've ripped your
DVD you'll need to shrink it in size in order for it to fit on a single
layered DVD-R or DVD+R, I use "DVD Shrink" (freeware, no spyware) which
automatically reduces the files to the correct size needed for burning, the
quality loss is negligible in my opinion. Here is the link to download:

Don't use that link, because it's not an official site, and there's only
a very old version (2.3) to download.

Get DVD-Shrink 3.1.2 here:

HTH,

Certainly helped here. Many thanks for pointing out the more recent
file. Much appreciated.

Apologies for the old link, I simply did a quick Google search for the
URL as I was writing the post in order to be more helpful, I obviously
didn't check thoroughly.

Usually, I don't care where I get a file from, but I get a little
nervous when a website *sounds* like an official site but isn't (like in
this case, and for example all the XP-Antispy sites).
