DVD decoder

Does anyone know which DVD decoder will work with Media Player 11?

Sonic doesn't, i've just tried it. Does anyone know of any others that are
problem free?

Some here have said that Vista includes a DVD decoder, although I haven't
tested it because I installed one before I tried.

I've been using the K-Lite codec pak from

http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm

on XP and Vista. It has codecs for virtually every format you are likely to
encounter.

What errors? I've been using it on XP for years, and on RC1 and RTM Vista
with no problems.

I get the following....

Runtime Error (at 95:576)
DllRegisterServer failed; code 0x80070005.
Access is denied

Hope you can help
 
Try running as administrator. You will get a couple of errors, if I recall,
but just keep going. Works fine on the Media Player Classic for viewing
movies, but WMP11 still doesn't work. I'm using Vista64. Maybe that is the
difference from Mike.

Are you running as an Administrator? This error usually indicates that you
are logged in as a user, and don't have permission to register the
component.
