DVD Decoder for XP

Can someone suggest a free decoder for winXP. I'm trying to play a dvd in a
Sony drive and the system tells me I need a windows decoder, and RealPlayer
tells me I need a plugin, but then uit still doesn't work.

This is a licensing issue as to why it isn't included in XP - and you must
pay for it... the cheapest you can get it is the XP DVD decoder, made by
Intervideo (instead of purchasing the full WinDVD or PowerDVD packages)....
