dvd disc is not recgonized when i placed a blank dics for
recording a movie, the dvd played the movie ok, and i
began the copying process it was copied ok, then i was
instructed to insert the blank dvd, its was not
recgonized, i use several other disc without success.
i noticed that the disc was not spinning up to regular
speed, it made several attempt to spin, but it never did.
please reply.........

Do you have SP-1 and all updates. WinXP will NOT
recognize combo drives without SP-1 installed.
